Before we begin, can I just state for the record how much I like it when knuckleheads get their comeuppance (even if, in this case, it’s one of my players)? On Sunday, Vonn Bell had this to say about Juju Smith-Schuster’s penchant for dancing on opposing teams’ logos in pregame warmups. So, of course, Juju … More 2020 Week Fifteen Recap

Before we recap this week’s action, I need to get something off my chest. Fantasy football is essentially Dungeons & Dragons for people who like sports more than orcs. There are obviously many, many things more important than this game we play together. That being said, fantasy football has grown into a multi-billion dollar industry. … More 2020 Week Fourteen Recap

And just like that, we’ve come to the final week of the regular season. While some of us will continue competing in the playoffs, this marks the final time we’ll have a full slate of games. Already I’ve heard the wailing and gnashing of teeth as the reality of the losers’ situation dawns on them. … More 2020 Week Thirteen Recap

Before the season started, I figured it would be pandemonium from week to week as the virus worked itself across the league. Frankly, I’m stunned it took so long for it to happen, but Week Twelve finally showed us what a cluster things could be. Ravens-Steelers got bounced from Thursday to Sunday to Monday to … More 2020 Week Twelve Recap

Welllllll, fuck. Last week’s news that MN was back to being locked down was already a helluva body blow (even though the move was understandable given the state of our hospitals). Unfortunately, it was followed up by a nut shot when our kids’ school district announced they’re shutting down in-person learning until the first full … More 2020 Week Eleven Recap

At this point I know all kinds of people who have had it, getting as close to me as my own … More 2020 Week Ten Recap

A new President-Elect, a press conference in a landscaping business’ back lot (sandwiched between a porn shop and a crematorium, no less), and continued fighting over the results. Could there have been a more gonzo election week?! Regardless of your affiliation, it was interesting to watch it all play out and encouraging to see so … More 2020 Week Nine Recap

I’m writing this week’s newsletter as the last of Tuesday night’s numbers are trickling in for the 2020 Election. It appears the counting is at a bit of a standstill for the time being, which was to be expected. It’s my guess that it’ll take awhile before we have a definitive answer one way or … More 2020 Week Eight Recap

Sorry for the delay, fellas. Been a long, lonnnnnng week already, so time has gotten away from me. Yet another instance when I was gonna beg off, but last night as I was drinking my supper, a thought briefly lifted my spirits… …and then an idea struck me… …and I just knew I had to … More 2020 Week Seven Recap

What a weird week of football! Nearly half of the league’s quarterbacks — 14, to be exact — threw for less than 200 yards. Some of them were still able to put up big days thanks to rushing yards and TDs, but the majority sunk their FF owners with low scores, which in turn led … More 2020 Week Six Recap
