Well, I truly hate to short you guys (and The World) on one of my prize-winning newsletters, but this has been a week. I came down with a bug that’s been kicking my ass since late Sunday and it just keeps getting progressively worse. Went and got a ‘rona test earlier today. As if that wasn’t bad enough, tomorrow’s the best meal day of the year for a fatty like me, and food isn’t sounding so great at the moment. Turkey, stuffing, potatoes, corn, dinner rolls, pie….all will be before me, and I have no desire to eat it.
And so I’m gonna take a week off from rubbing your collective noses in shit, and instead say thanks for being a part of what has *easily* become my favorite league. We threw this thing together on a whim — at the time, I was talking to Brent and he mentioned wanting to try a Superflex dynasty league for the first time — and somehow it gelled with about two weeks to go before the season started. Out of that shaky genesis grew a *fantastic* league: a chat that’s constantly busy; tons of wheeling and dealing; good-natured ribbing across the board; a sweet trophy (even if the mf doesn’t have my name on it yet); a dumbass blog. This easily could have fallen apart, especially with as many people as we have that didn’t know each other before it began, but *all of you* came together to make this a pretty special place to be. And so I thank you for coming along for the ride. Here’s to many more years of fun in The Terrible Ten!

p.s. Did you see that win I pulled out of my ass last week? I didn’t think it could get any better than beating Brent by 8.5 points back in Week Two — a loss that started his precipitous drop down the standings, by the way — but beating him by one point in Week Eleven was pretty fucking sweet too. Just sayin’. So, uh, yeah…Happy Thanksgiving, chump. LONG LIVE THE HORSESHOE!!
