Well, well, well…it took eight weeks, but the dawgs finally got to feast. Big-name RBs have been a bit of a disappointment this season (Najee Harris, anyone?). Until now, we haven’t seen a week with massive points from numerous backs all at once. Kamara led the charge in our league, but Henry, Chubb, and Cook … More 2022 Week Eight Recap

Getting a late start on the newsletter again this week — life seems to be moving with the Fast Forward button in full effect — and it hit me that the regular season is already halfway done. How is that possible? Seems like we just got the ball rolling! Some of us will be playing … More 2022 Week Seven Recap

Sorry for the delay in this week’s newsletter. Time kind of got away from me with how busy we’ve been at Casa Monge — conferences at the kids’ school, doctor and dentist appts, Evil Empire squeezing every last drop of work out of me that he can (and fellas, it’s an unenviable task because I’m … More 2022 Week Six Recap

I’m pretty sure the year was 2006 (Redman or Pearce can let me know if I’m wrong). I was a young lad of only 30 back then, and had never played fantasy football. That season my brother talked me into joining a new league he’d created. I had no idea what I was doing (most … More 2022 Week Five Recap

Last week was such a disaster, and it started before any of the games kicked off. Hurricane Ian made landfall in southwest Florida, which was sad and scary for a couple of personal reasons. Selfishly, I’ll miss Fort Myers Beach, a place I vacationed at for years with my wife and kids. Below are some … More 2022 Week Four Recap

With weeks like that, it’s not hard to see why there are no undefeated teams left in the league. Touchdowns from the likes of Samaje Perine, KJ Osborn, and Laviska Shenault. Massive days from Khalil Herbert, Jamaal Williams, and Devin Singletary. What the hell is going on here?! Perhaps the best summarization I saw for … More 2022 Week Three Recap

I tend to start these posts with a bit of news, usually NFL-related, and then use that as a segue to our weekly scoring recap. Lord knows there are plenty of topics I could use after only two weeks of games: Tua, Wentz, and Flacco being the top three passers by yardage; RBs across the … More 2022 Week Two Recap

Has it really been eight months since I’ve been out here writing about The Terrible Ten?! Part of me feels like that time *flew* by, while the other part of me wishes the break had been longer. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy football is back on the boob tube. What gets my goat is … More 2022 Week One Recap

My apologies for the lengthy delay in writing the final newsletter of the 2021 season. Part of me wanted to write it as soon as possible and get it over with; the other part of me wanted to delay felating the winner as long as possible. Not knowing what to do, I froze. It was … More 2021 Round Three Recap
