Gonna hit the pause button on fantasy football for a moment to talk about Thanksgiving, my favorite holiday of the year. Yes, part of it is the buffet of amazing food for a fat bastard like myself, but it’s more than that. I’m perhaps the least philosophical person on the planet, but for one day … More 2023 Week Eleven Recap
Ten weeks into a truly bonkers fantasy football season, and everything is finally starting to clear up. The studs are running away with it, the duds have assumed their position at the bottom of the heap, and the playoff bracket is essentially set it stone. While I’m guessing it’s a bit of a mid-season anomaly, … More 2023 Week Ten Recap
Once upon a time, I loved to play golf. I must have started playing around age 15 or so, and it wasn’t too long before I caught a serious bug with it. I started with a crappy set of Fuzzy Zoeller clubs from my hometown K-Mart, and within a few years I had custom clubs … More 2023 Week Nine Recap
A belated Happy Halloween to one and all! I hope you guys had a good time, whether you escorted kiddos from house to house (like Brent) or partied with other adults (like Scotty). They each had some pretty cool pictures, which I’ll let them share in the chat if they choose to do so. Me? … More 2023 Week Eight Recap
Man oh man, this has been a week. I can’t even put my finger on what it is, exactly, other than that I tired my old-ass out over the weekend getting our yard, patio, etc ready for winter, and then managed to catch a bug earlier today. So I find myself in the unenviable position … More 2023 Week Seven Recap
And we’re live in 3 … 2 … 1 … Hello, and welcome back to Wheel of Misfortune! I’m your host, Corny Commish, and we’ve got a doozy of a puzzle going. Let’s get right back to the action, shall we? Vanna, please remind the viewers where we left off: It was nice to have … More 2023 Week Six Recap
Well, well, well. It took five weeks for it to happen, but the studs finally came out to play. We still had some lesser names sneak through with big games — Howell, Ridder, and Moss leading the way — but Week Five saw huge scores from players we’ve come to expect it from. If you’re … More 2023 Week Five Recap
The 2023 season has had plenty of eyebrow-raising moments to this point — the injuries, the studs scoring next to nothing, the no-names going bonkers — but things in The Terrible Ten have pretty much played out like we expected so far. Week Four, on the other hand, had some big moments for the league. … More 2023 Week Four Recap
The year was 1998. As far as years go, it was a good one for me. I was starting my senior year of college at University of Wisconsin — Stevens Point (a town whose claim to fame, other than delicious Point Beer, is NBA star [?] Terry Porter). I was on the cusp of graduating … More 2023 Week Three Recap
Two weeks in, and I have to ask: when will the madness end?! No one would have been shocked to hear the LA Rams WR1 would be third overall in fantasy points at his position, if the name associated with those stats was Cooper Kupp. Instead, it’s…Puka Nacua?! Going 25 of 35 for 266 yards … More 2023 Week Two Recap
